In these highly divisive times, art can serve as a meeting ground for all segments of society. Music brings people together for a shared experience in which both the musician and the audience are transformed. We believe that the effects of music can be further expanded to create a more equitable and just society as well. Through music education, outreach, fundraising, and performances LAIMA uses music as a driving force to foster a sense of community that extends beyond the classroom and the concert hall.
